McQ RANGER® is a revolutionary small yet high performance sensor that provides extended range target detection and
classification (personnel, ground vehicles, boats, and aircraft), through the use of sophisticated signal processing algorithms.
McQ RANGER® uses seismic, acoustic, and magnetic modalities to detect, classify, and characterize targets at extended
ranges – while maintaining an extremely low false alarm rate. McQ RANGER® utilizes user configurable sensitivity levels
can dial down the detection ranges to meet any user imposed maximum range in they are interested in reported targets.
The McQ RANGER® was built from the ground up based on state of the art electronics selections to maintain the
appropriate level of performance, but with the lowest power consumption possible. The sensor can achieve a mission of 1-4 months
(activity dependent) on its integrated battery; larger battery packs and/or small solar modules can be integrated for extended
missions. The sensor battery can be easily recharged using a commercial inductive charger.
The sensor uses wireless networking connectivity to connect the sensor to the user. McQ RANGER® is available in both a
Terrestrial radio variant as well as a SATCOM variant. Sensor information can be distributed via Cloud based connectivity,
which greatly reduces the cost of communications infrastructure to connect to the user. McQ’s TNet network protocols ensure
message delivery with minimal latency, simultaneously to local user handheld displays, and to central monitoring facilities.
The sensor’s detection reports can be integrated with surveillance information from other sources as part of McQ’s Cloud database.
McQ RANGER® can be easily deployed by quick hand emplacement. Additionally, air drop variants have been built for
US Government customers, and are available upon request. The sensor can be used threat detection along roads, in large remote
areas, along borders, around facilities, or in wilderness areas.
